Goodnight Song was released as a two track single in France in October 1993. While the standard European/UK issue had two album tracks as b-sides, this French issue boasts an exclusive remix of 'Elemental': the 'Sons Of August Mix'. Apparently this mix wasn't initially planned as the b-side, since all copies of the disc itself have 'Dog's A Best Friend's Dog' listed as track 2. Most copies of the card sleeve list the 'Elemental' remix, however there is a scarce variation that doesn't mention the track at all.
It appears that leftover copies of this release were given a custom tour dates sticker and serviced to UK radio stations to promote the December 1993 Elemental Tour shows. From personal experience, this UK promo seems to be much more common than the unstickered French commercial release.
